Don't get me incorrect; The Las Vegas Strip is great. I love it there. But occasionally, the strip can be a little much, and frankly, I would instead swallow a pill of cyanide than go anywhere near it. And I know every nearby feels that way because they've all stated it to me. And following a couple of tough days, some tourists need a break from The Strip as well. Fortunately, this wonderful town has much much more to offer than just what can be found on that 4-mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard. Here are some illustrations the much more this town has to offer.
The Avalon is situated on Vine Street, right in the heart of downtown Hollywood. It is correct about the corner from the Pantages theatre. In reality, I recommend parking in 1 of the tons close to the Pantages (they have a tendency to be the least expensive).

You can feel the hometown, nearby pleasant atmosphere when you walk into Bird's Nest Pub, Bar, and Saloon. Talk about delicacies, this location makes every thing from scratch.
